No Basi Virk news today's Times Colonist

What's incredible about CanWest isn't so much that their Editor-in-Chief of Victoria Times Colonist could say that they sent a reporter to a Basi, Virk, Basi pre-trial hearing, said "nothing happened", published nothing about it, then told me"When there is news, we plan to report it." [See The Legislature Raids 09/19/2006.]

What's incredible is that today, 18 April 2007, the long-awaited Trial of the Century actually got under way ... and Times Colonist didn't report that either. If you can figure that out, please let me know. - BC Mary.

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that, at least as of 5:00am this morning, according to Mr. Campbell at least, there was no news to report.

Alternatively, could it be that the T-C does not fit into the 'media-monitoring' strategy of the BC Liberal party?

Oh, wait, the B.C. Liberals wouldn't set up a thing like that.

Would they?
