'Save our Ferries' begins today

Hoping to roll back the tide of privatization, a B.C. campaign gets under way today to undo the 2003 privatization of the ferry fleet. In view of similar concerns about the still-secret deal privatizing BC Rail, we should pay close attention to this campaign. For updates, go to: www.saveourferries.com. VANCOUVER -- The ferry workers' union is ramping up a campaign to undo the 2003 privatization of the B.C. fleet -- and restore the system as an extension of B.C.'s highways. The Save Our Ferries campaign being launched today at the website www.saveourferries.com will push for public hearings on privatization and an end to it, if the public demands it.
