Today, Nov.18 in BC Supreme Court, Vancouver, Dave Basi, Jim Duncan, Tony Young on Sooke A.L.R. charges

.
There's a publication ban still in effect, so that only people who walk in and take a seat in the public gallery, will know what's happening. If you do walk in and observe, you can tell us you were there. You can tell us how you feel. But you can't tell us what you saw and overheard ... not until the ban is lifted. As I understand it, you can tell Aunt Mabel, or your next-door-neighbour ... you just can't let the news travel. It's something to do with preventing this case from influencing that other trial we're not supposed to hear anything about either. - BC Mary.

Comments:
When oh when will the RCMP release John Les affair so that it too may come to trial in his dabblings with Chilliwack ALR

.
Gosh ... I haven't been tracking John Les. Have you?

But yes, we need to know how that's coming along, too.

I suppose "Cases completed" might be the place to start searching ... and if the John Les file doesn't show up there ... well, good luck.

Another SCC decision We should watch for. The decision was reserved in February, so must be coming soon. Kinda sorta resembles BC Rail RFP.

Case summaries are prepared by the Office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court of Canada (Law Branch) for information purposes only.

Vancouver Province today, CEOs who via their buddie boards, chose to pay out the highest salaries, and yes BC Rail Chief is right up there.

I wonder why.

Is it because a new CEO would have raised hell as to why Kinsella was brought on board, or would a new CEO would have cleaned house and not kept anyone left over from the BC Rail trial, in essence .... shredded the connections as to why CN Rail was the winning bidder in the sale of BC Rail.

I know you have said this before Mary but I think it bears mentioning again here.

Why are people that offered, (allegedly), bribes in this case charged and not those charged in the Legislature Raids case? Double standard? I think so.

Well, Gary E,

maybe that's one of the delightfully fascinating aspects of the whole Basi, Virk, Basi, Duncan, Young, Bornmann, Collins, Campbell, Dauphinee, Reid, Brown ...[and 40 others] team.

Who dunnit? Who's in bed with whom? And what did they do?

Shhhhh.

TREASON
Wikipedia: In law, treason is the crime of disloyalty to one's nation. A person who betrays the nation of their citizenship and/or reneges on an oath of loyalty and in some way willfully cooperates with an enemy, is considered to be a traitor. Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]." In many nations, it is also often considered treason to attempt or conspire to overthrow the government, even if no foreign country is aided or involved by such an endeavor.
