Organized crime in Vancouver?

.
Regional News
Salt Spring News - Jan. 18, 2010

Are Canada's police involved in protecting our society's structural criminals? Kevin Annett thinks so.

Why are otherwise responsible officials of the United Church stooping so low as to spread such lies and fear about me throughout the church and media, at such cost and effort?

Part of the answer lies in the fact that, when I challenged the church over its illegal sale of First Nations land to its business associates, I was raising a mirror in which we all had to look at our actual, and not imagined, history with aboriginal people on the west coast.

- Reverend Kevin D. Annett, Easter Sunday 2002.

Brenda Norrell reported January 10, 2010: "Rev. Annett, who for fifteen years has led the campaign to bring to justice the churches and government responsible for genocide in Canada's Indian Residential Schools, made international news in October 2009 when he held the first memorial service for missing native children outside the Vatican in Rome.

Rev. Annett, school survivors and native elders have also led high profile protests and occupations of churches in Vancouver and Toronto since 2005, and on many occasions Annett has been threatened by church officials and police. Rev. Annett will be returning to Rome and Europe in April with residential school survivors to confront Pope Benedict over the fate and buried location of thousands of children who died in Catholic Indian schools in Canada."

“The Mayor. The Chief of Police. All the senior press people. Hell, you can’t get into those positions without making a deal with the drug lords who run this town. The days of organized crime as a separate thing are over. It’s all business run and legit now. It’s organized corporate crime now – the drug importers from Asia and the real estate developers and the off shore investors, they’re all part of the same gang. The cops all work for them. And body snatching pays well.”

- A retired aboriginal RCMP officer in conversation with Kevin Annett, a community minister, educator and award-winning film maker who lives and works in Vancouver ’s downtown eastside.

Friend of the Court, indeed!
The Court is in need of all the “friends” it can get.
BC Mary has a wide audience; some have knowledge of the Court that causes us to question the motivations of the Court.
Unfold as it should? Hmmm? And by whose reckoning will it be “as it should”? More and more people are becoming aware of the lack of integrity of the Court(s) and for whose interests the Court is beholding to.

Working on he/she/its spelling and torturous grasp of grammar, perhaps.

I guess the above helps explain why the offices of the top aides to the finance and transportation ministries were such a perfect "one stop shopping" spot for project everywhichway! Of course now all those big fish that were released from the nets are holding up progress which unfortunately will likely "Unfold as it should" based on how the released big fish flop!

Perhaps the RCMP could restore their less than shiny image, or move in that direction, by holding the right people accountable for the BC Rail travesty - and they could re-habilitate Chief Battershill - it must be getting tiresome for the majority of mounties to make excuses constantly for failures and screw-ups!

Hi Mary,

Kash Heed - ran away - under allegations of wrongdoing that could be seen as trying to protect?
