Finally an early confirmation. Wonder if someone at the courthouse got paid for a callout to do this for us.

.The BC Rail trial has been delayed for two days because of legal issues.

Madam Justice Anne Mackenzie called the jury into the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Monday morning, only to dismiss them until Wednesday.

Sorry here is the link, story posted at 2 05 Globe time

cpmments disabled, and I did a syrvey this morning, I forgpot about disabling comments

Shock & awe (roll eyes now). . . the trial will NOT be Courtroom 54 - sorry Mary.

Judge delayed till Wednesday and dismissed jury.

. . . all 'tricks' of the trade - envision the machinations being born from political desperation of the 'circle'.

All too familiar in our BC Justice den of devils.

Here we go again. Trial postponed until June 2 to deal with some issues. I would be surprised if this trial concludes with a verdict rendered by the jury.

I think the cross-examination of Martyn Brown has put a scare into the BC Liberal party and they will do everything they can to short circuit the judicial system on this one.

Monday morning. Another shut down this morning. Judge had called in the Jury then told them to go home till Wednesday.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in courtroom 54 this morning. It looks like the judge is making her move! Incredible!

Hate to disappoint you but all that took place this morning was more legal wrangling which led to the case being adjourned to Wednesday morning at 10 pm. The publication ban prevents me from saying what the legal wrangling was about but it could have serious consequences for the future of the trial.

Trial is on back burner until Madame Justice MacKenzie finishes her rant at the lawyers. Two Whole Trial Days Wasted.

Meet you all back here on Wednesday.

Crankypants & others,

I'm sure we can all see the danger signs. The question for us is: do we give up? Or do we develop a plan?

It's so un-Canadian to simply give up saying "We're doomed ... doomed ... we're all gonna die!"

Of course we're all gonna die some day.

The thing is: how best can we use our time right now?
.

Who was it that said that while Aneal Basi was off sick the Defendant lawyers will be busily reading the latest documents to be be released to them?

The lawyers didn't want the Trial to start on May 17th because of new evidence and now, after the one week delay because of an illness of one of the clients it appears that there will be a delay.

We can only wonder, but if there's more ammunition been discovered NOW, and it would have been discovered BACK when the trial got underway, doesn't it make Madame Justice MacKenzie look.........

Anon 1:13,

What you say convinces me that people must get into that courtroom

to get the facts for ourselves,

and if you hear the facts while the jury is present,

remember: it's OK to report it.

Whatever ... let's do our best to FIND OUT WHAT'S GOING ON IN COURTROOM 54,

AND THEN START PHONING.
TALKING. WRITING.

JEEZ, we can't just sit with bags over our heads hoping that the facts will fall on our heads.

Anyone living in BC knows that those big birds are seagulls and what they drop on unwary heads as they fly over can't be called facts, exactly.
.

martyn brown left the court this morning in a huff - must be concerning for him to sit idle and wait for more cross examination.

Maybe a facebook group could be utilized to inform people and provide a platform where public protests could be organized.

As Robin demonstrates, WE CAN be in the courtroom during these wranglings, w/o having to be a fly. But we just can't tell anyone what transpired. I call Bullsh*t!

If I could get to Vancouver, I would go to court and WOULD report, tell, etc. what I heard and let them prosecute me for the contempt I so strongly hold for the BC Supreme Court, ACJ Dohm, the Attorney General's ministry, the evident bias and agenda of J-Mac, the conflicted to the hilt Wild Bill and the Terrorists in Victoria posing as our government.

If this publication ban can withstand a charter challenge, then I wouldn't want to depend on the Charter for toilet tissue, much less to protect MY rights. Six years of wrangling without a jury, how many years of now secret wrangling while a jury cools its heels - on call?

Or are they working out a plea bargain with benefits for the Basi boys, all to be conducted without a jury so in the end nobody knows anything, not even the verdict?

I'm going to consult an actuary, and once I can predict that glorious day that Gordo the Greedy is likely to die, I will be able to predict the date this trial MAY actually begin, if any of the principals are still walking the earth!

Maybe it will be easier to hold Gordo accountable after he has been recalled and is just a private citizen (with 24/7 armed guards).

"The publication ban prevents me from saying what the legal wrangling was about but it could have serious consequences for the future of the trial."

Duh!

Otherwise, why effing wrangle? They not discussing who should be in goal Chi-town tonight after all!

"martyn brown left the court this morning in a huff - must be concerning for him to sit idle and wait for more cross examination."

Or maybe because of the rash of sea plane accidents...... you gotta figure that there's a greater expense in travel time/monies (for whatever projects they're involved with) for these full time employees who are based in Victoria

I have no doubt that Mr. Brown's travel expenses, just like the Basi Boys' legal fees and the "oh so" Special Prosecutor and "oh so" (pre)Judge(mental) J-Mac wages are all being paid by you and me and the rest of the tax-payers. Ain't justice grand? Well it would be if it ever happened!

If Mr. Martyn Brown is in a grumpy mood, I for one, couldn't be happier.
