All 12 jurors in BC Rail trial commit for the duration

.
Did the heavens just open and smile upon us or something?

What a wonderful message for us all, that twelve good people stepped forward to say "Yes, we can do this. We'll see this trial through because it's important!"

Blessings upon them all.

So this BC Rail trial is on its way again, moving forward.

Thank heaven for this good, good news.

Comments:
Linsday McCray and Jamie Elmhirst were the focus of the early cross examine of Martyn Brown today.

Other interesting questions about drinking in the Leg, Premier Campbell meeting with Bob Virk regarding BC Rail, direct awarding of contracts versus open tendering to the bankers for BC Rail...

Lot's more this afternoon with Martyn Brown.

Anon 1:46,

Please give yourself a User Name and tell us more!!

Were there many people in the public gallery?

Many thanks for these tantalizing glimpses! Did you see Robin Mathews there? And Bill T.?
.

Yee Haaaw!!!

To the jurors;

All of the citizens of BC owe all of you a HUGE thank you for keeping this train on the tracks!!!!!

I think we are just cresting the hill, the first time I have truly looked forward to a run-away!!!!

Well said, BCR Piglet,

and me, too. Looking forward to a run-away, I mean.

Good luck, all around. All we ask is a trial ... and a fair trial.

It's interesting to see Virk objecting to a further broken election promise - a glimpse of conscience, though perhaps only a mask of one. Here's a truism: if Virk and Basi successfully portray themselves as victims less than mere henchmen, including in such apparent displays of public-mindedness.....one of them may be Premier yet.....or in some notable political or appointed capacity, once all their sins are paid for with the blood of those who appointed, then used and betrayed them.

Not that that forgives dirty tricks-type stuff and the associated morality, but these guys' political careers are anything but over.

If you are holding your breath waiting for Martyn Brown to say something material, relax. Remember the Nixon era and the Watergate hearings when many political operators admitted only to having very bad memories. If a witness speaks falsehoods that can be demonstrated, they might be guilty of perjury. But, no one has ever been convicted for saying, "I don't recall"

Norman Farrell,

You are absolutely correct, Martyn Brown doesn't intend to make it easy for the Accused; no quarrel there.

But ...

don't you feel that rush of astonishment when McCullough ASKS THE QUESTIONS??

It's as if there had been a Publication Ban over the past 6 years ...

and now, suddenly we're hearing the gist of the argument:

McCullough to Brown: Did you or the premier phone Bobby Virk regularly, during the year he was Absent With Pay, and tell him the Liberal Party would look after him if he kept his mouth shut?

Wha-a-att??

I might have imagined those things, but I'm pretty darn sure that McCullough is asking questions based upon information Bobby Virk gave him.

And that's news!

C'mon, Norman, hands on shoulders, Dance of Joy!!
