Relatives that work on the CNR say, the American safety standards, are far below Canadian standards.
There have been far too many derailments of the C.N. I can't remember a time when there were so many wrecks. The U.S. had better clean up their act, and look after repairs. It was just fortunate, there were no tank cars carrying caustic chemicals.
However, like the dirty oil tankers from China, the day will come, when there will be, caustic chemical spills on the CN lines. There already have been some. With the number of wrecks lately, there will be many more.
